As we all know that global warming is the biggest threat to mankind in this era. Deforestation is one of the main reasons for this global warming. Earlier that mangroves and all other trees in the river bank were used to prevent soil erosion from the river banks, as a result, the soils get precipitated in the river beds and the rivers. As a result, the water holding capacity of the rivers is decreasing and the riverside villages are flooded every year. To overcome the situation we have to take few steps like decreasing of emission of greenhouse gases, forestry, plantation of a maximum number of trees, vetiver grasses to prevent soil erosion from the river banks, etc. As we are focusing on the Sunderbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world, we have planned to plant mangrove trees, vetiver grasses, using coir products to prevent the soil erosion of the river banks as well as contributing to preventing global warming. We have already started planting and distributing plants between the villagers. In near future, we are planning to do this on a large scale and making people understand the importance of trees in our life through different awareness camps. Will expect you all to support us. If each person plants a single tree, our world will be green and clean enough for our coming generations.
