Baguiati Human Angel SocietyWe, BAGUIATI HUMAN ANGEL SOCIETY has started our journey in the year 2004( Our sister NGO MOTHER COMPUTER CENTER). Initially, we started with the computer training center. We used to train lots of needy and intelligent students free of cost. Then we started doing the same in different Government schools by taking only Rs. 100 yearly per student as token money and helped them get into a job after completion of the training. While doing this, got 9.5 bighas of land as a donation at Jharkhali, Sunderban. After surveying those areas we realize that food is the basic requirement here more than education. They have land which is not sufficient as they have to depend on the rainy season only. the villagers used to visit the dense forest quite often to collect honey, wood, fish, crabs, etc. Then we insisted they dig ponds and we installed a shallow pump which can cater approx 70-80 bighas of land. From that year(2018) they started cropping twice a year, by this our mission of stopping people from going to the forest fulfilled partially at least for that particular area. After that survey, we came to know that there are lots of tiger victim families like this, at the same time this is a cyclone-prone area as it is a coastal region. Many people were affected due to different cyclones like AYLA, BUDBUD, AMPHAN, etc.
After those disasters, we provided them relief materials like food, clothes, etc. But we found that this relief is a temporary solution of a maximum of 15 – 30 days. We have to find a permanent solution to get rid of their poverty under our project PRAYASH( SHELTER). Then we came up with a plan of INCUBATOR and MINI COMBINED RICE MILL along with PULVERIZER. We also applied to NABARD to create a Farmer Income Group to help the farmers. We will also start a daycare home for the tiger victim widows ( So that they can concentrate on their earning) and an orphanage for the orphans over there With the help of this Incubator we have planned to distribute duck and hen chick to the needy families which we have already surveyed. We will also help them make a covered place for those. We will vaccinate those live stocks and also provide the food. When those birds will start laying eggs, they will start earning by selling the eggs. We will also engage a few of them to produce original powdered spices and help them selling those products through urban and rural self-help groups. All products will be genuine and cheaper. Without your help, it is not possible for us to execute these projects. We will be really grateful to you if you kindly help us in this mission.
We have started our work in 2004 with an education and skill development program from Baguiati, Kolkata in the name of MOTHER COMPUTER CENTRE. We followed the ideology of Swami Vivekananda, inspired by Maa Sarada(Founder of Ramkrishna Mission) and Mother Teressa. Initially, we planned for providing free tuition and Computer training to at least 10000 first-generation students and then making them self dependent by providing them with free education and different skill development program
We started our journey in the rural area which is approx 90 km away from Kolkata. There was no electricity at that time when you reached that place. we started free tuition and computer literacy program in two schools named Phulmoni Aadarsha Vidyalay and Kanmari Vidya Mandir. Apart from these two schools, we have also received many applications from the Headmasters of different schools of the Islands, but he could not do anything in those schools because of their financial constraints. Then the secretary of the social welfare board and few headmasters were advised to open a new NGO to solve the financial issue and to get donations from various organizations as well as Government also. We started our new NGO BAGUIATI HUMAN ANGEL SOCIETY in the year 2013-14 and collaborated with MOTHER COMPUTER CENTRE to solve different problems of the society.
Since 2015 as he has started entering the more remote areas of the Jharkhali coastal region, which is adjacent to the forest of Sundarbans. Dear, we realize that education is in the first position of our primary requirement whereas the people have scarcity in the most primary requirement for the survival that is food. Here cultivation is completely dependent on nature. Sometimes the farmers can’t harvest one crop in a year due to natural calamities. In Jharkhali, the villagers and Harekrishna Sevashram donated us 9.5 bigha land. We found that in 2021 also people are entering into the deep forest to catch fish, crab, collecting honey, and becoming tiger victims. So we, the Baguiati Human Angel Society started our project “Rural Support for Human”
