PRAKASH( SHELTER)

Due to the geographical environment of our Sunderban area, we have to face cyclones and storms approx twice every year for its coastal region. We have personally experienced the disaster like Ayla, Bulbul, Amphan and as a result, the temporary roof used to blown away every year. So by identifying all the houses that are still raw and do not have a roof over their heads, they apply to the Government of West Bengal and the Central Government to ensure their accommodation. Our NGO Baguiati Human Angel Society is committed to providing brick toilets in everyone’s house through the government of West Bengal and the central government. This is a part of our shelter project but we get really scared when we see the faces of the poor sisters in the villages. There are lots of families who have lost the only earning member of the family coz they have lost their lives by entering the deep forbidden forest to collect honey and wood. We are committed to ensuring the earning of those actually needy tiger victim families. If we can make our Annapurna project successful, no one has to enter the forest and make the children orphans.

If our Annapurna project is successful, we will easily get success in its next four projects. After doing two crops in 70 bighas of land in 2018, we heard some information that we can’t continue with the irrigation. then we collected information about the rules and regulations about irrigation from the central government and West Bengal government and came to know ultimately that all the information was wrong and they were doing nothing but misguiding us. The villagers of Jharkhali, who have donated the land to us, requested us to build a temple and construct of pond ghat. Then I study the geographical location of the Sundarbans. The Sundarbans is one hundred and twenty kilometers away from Kolkata but there is no large industry, no proper farming facilities, and is totally dependent on nature. So the first thing I did was to stop all work and make it a priority to irrigate and from there to cultivate two crops in 60 to 70 bighas of land and make all the farmers happy. We will now appeal to NABARD and the West Bengal government to extend a helping hand to our organization so that we can irrigate the land as much as possible and prevent all farmers from going into the jungle. But those on fortunate people who have already lost their husband or father, we have decided to take special care for the widows i.e. through income generation training providing job. We will also take care of their children by providing them with free proper education.

The income generation programs are mentioned below:

  1.   Spice powder Preparation
  2.   Making of Sanitary Napkins
  3.   Poultry and Goat farming
  4.   Attendant and Nursing Training

The purpose of this project is to make widows self-independent and to help orphans with proper education and training to make themselves dependable in the future.

Formerly Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Mahasaya Raja Rammohun Roy Rani Rasmoni and many other dignitaries came forward to alleviate the plight of this widow and then after a long hiatus, June 23, 2010, was officially declared as International Widow’s Day. But with them in the Inner Wheel District 329 Arohan magazine 2019-20 Madame Phyllis IIW President when she wrote about this video in her magazine and I was also overwhelmed when I saw it and thought I found someone else with the same thought but I am a little human How can I explain the tears of so many sisters that I have that ability but seeing her writing gives me the courage and if there is true goodwill honest thinking and mentality to do something for people then all those thoughts and thoughts are successful. The best example is Swami Vivekananda Ramakrishna Mission worldwide. Service delivery between establishment and its activities.

Here are two different projects under PRAKASH. Those are ORPHANAGE AND CHILDCARE & DEBDOOT. 

  •  DEBDOOT: DEBDOOT project is the fifth project under the GRAMIN SWANIRVAR UDYOG MEGA PROJECT of RURAL SUPPORT FOR HUMAN. There are three basic stages in a human’s life i.e. child, youth, and old age. PRAKASH and ATMAPRAKASH are specially meant for children and youths. Debdoot is a unique project where we are planning to take care of those aged old men and the lady who are absolutely helpless. Some of them don’t have any offspring or their son/daughter doesn’t take care of their parents. In this situation, they became very helpless and our NGO wants to help them. For this, we have to provide them with food and shelter. We have to take care of their health also. We can manage their food and health-related issue with the help of our donors and subscribers but for their shelter, we have to make rooms. We will be really grateful to those who extend their helping hand towards us to complete this project. We are happy to announce that we are already taking care of 4 aged persons. We are really keen to increase the number but without help, it is not possible for us.
  • Orphanage and Childcare- As we are planning to take the tiger victim widows to the mainstream through different income generation programs, we are also going to take care of their children in our daily care center. In our center, we are focusing on their study, healthcare, food ( during the daytime ).
